4 Surprising Exercises for Stress Relief - Diets in Review

When it comes to stress and frustration, sometimes it?s just good to let it out. We yell, run, punch ? whatever it takes to blow off some steam. However, letting out aggression forcefully isn?t the best habit to fall into especially if you find yourself needing to do so often.

When I think of the best workouts for stress, my mind naturally goes to punching, kicking or tearing things in half. However, fitness expert and health coach Stephanie Mansour?would suggest otherwise.

In college, Stephanie had a professor in an aggression and media class who told her the worst thing you can do when you?re upset is to start punching things. As a result, she?s concluded that when we?re angry or upset and need to take it out on something, we?re not teaching ourselves how to actually deal with our issues or become a mature, centered person.

As a fitness coach, Stephanie sees her fair share of clients who come to her for a stress-relieving workouts. But instead of letting them rip into a punching bag, she guides them toward these more relaxing exercise instead.

Breathing techniques -?To practice intentional breathing, place your hands on your stomach and draw in air like you?re trying to inflate a balloon, and then slowly let your breath out through your nose like you?re deflating the balloon. In the process, feel your stomach getting bigger and smaller as you breathe, and think about breathing in perspective and breathing out stress.

Yoga sun salutations?- If breathing techniques aren?t for you, practice a basic sun salute instead. Stephanie recommends bringing your arms out to the side of your body and extending them up toward the sky while taking a deep breath in. Next, exhale and fold forward, letting your arms hang down like a floppy wet noodle before pressing your fingers into your shins and looking up halfway. Next, exhale looking back down and then inhale coming all the way back up, ending by pressing your palms together to the center of your chest.

Slow, leisurely walks ? If you?re feeling stress or anger rise up, take a step outside for a slow, leisurely walk. Stephanie suggests doing so will allow you to cool off mentally and regain perspective, as well as relax your body and stretch out your legs without exerting too much energy.

High intensity interval training ? If you still really want to go hard to burn off some stress, Stephanie recommends doing some high intensity interval training (HIIT). Warm up for 2-3 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical or by jogging outside followed by some dynamic stretching just to be safe. Then, revisit the cardio machine or go back outside and do 30 seconds of slow movement followed by 30 seconds of high intensity movement, such as sprinting as fast as you can. Stephanie suggests repeating this three times and then doing 20 squats or 20 push ups before going back to cardio. Continue hopping on and off, repeating this circuit 3-4 times.

?Do things that are difficult and fast, so you don?t even have time to worry about why you?re stressed,? Stephanie says. ?And make the most of your time. The more you sweat the more you?re releasing toxins and endorphins.? This balance of energy exertion and endorphin release will be key in relieving stress.

The next time you?re feeling your blood pressure rise or your brow start to sweat, leave the punching bag in the closet and pick one of these exercises instead. Doing so will allow you to reconnect with your body and mind, and your stress will float away in no time.

Stephanie Mansour, CEO of?Step It Up with Steph, is a nationally known health ?and fitness expert and body image and confidence coach. She?s a reality TV trainer on??Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is,? helping her client lose 80+ lbs in 12 weeks. She combines yoga, Pilates, personal training, and body image coaching for a holistic approach to health and fitness, and her?no diets/no guilt mentality is changing the way women everywhere view food and exercise.

Photos show A6 chipset on iPhone 5?

The latest alleged leaked image from the iPhone factory floor appears to show a brand new chip for the iPhone 5: the Apple A6.

Apple began using its own, in-house system-on-a-chip (SoC) designs with the introduction of the iPad.

That version was dubbed the Apple A4, and it was also used in the iPhone 4, while the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S used the Apple A5 and the third-gen iPad used the Apple A5X variation.

Apple's apparent decision to go with a brand new SoC designation for the iPhone 5 could indicate big changes.

Then again, it could indicate nothing

The A5X designation was created primarily to deal with the third-gen iPad's detailed 2048x1536 Retina display, which was the first such screen on an iPad.

To that end, the A5X SoC added a shiny quad-core GPU.

But the iPhone's existing A4 and A5 chipsets already support Retina graphics on the smartphones' smaller screens; the iPhone first went Retina with the Apple A4 chipset on the iPhone 4.

So despite the iPhone 5's rumored slightly larger, 4-inch 1136x640 screen, Apple isn't limited to using the same SoC found in the iPad with Retina display.

But what changes will the Apple A6 bring to the iPhone 5?

Bigger battery and other leaks

As iMore points out, the name of Apple's new iPhone 5 chipset could be down to more of a "branding decision" than anything else.

But the alleged images do appear to reveal a little more about the iPhone 5: an unsurprising Qualcomm chip and space for a larger battery.

In addition, there've recently been conflicting reports about the possibility of iPhone 5 NFC support.

A smaller docking cable has also been seen in recent supposed leaks.

Most importantly, recent developments support the theory that Apple's set to unveil the iPhone 5 on Sept. 12, possibly alongside the iPad Mini.

Living Peaceful, Abundant, Healthy Lifestyles: The story of the ...

The old colonialist regime is Asia is falling apart fast and hysterical efforts to fan ?territorial disputes,? will not save it. This can be seen in a flood of new revelations coming from the new regime in North Korea as well as in signals being put out by the new government scheduled to take power in China in November.
The latest revelation from North Korea is the stuff of fairy tales. Yokota Megumi, the 13-year old girl spirited away from Japan in 1977 is a member of the Japanese imperial family, according to multiple Japanese, North Korean and Chinese sources. She was taken to be married to North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in order to give the Kim dynasty imperial legitimacy. Her son, new North Korean leader Kim Jon-un, is now suggesting Yokota be given the title of ?Empress Dowager.?
The North Koreans are saying they are representatives of the old imperial Japanese regime that was pushing for a greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere during World War 2.
The Chinese for their part, are also preparing for a ?paradigm shift,? in power that will be preceded by a major purge of banks and industrial conglomerates linked to the old regime.
First, let us look at the latest North Korean revelations as revealed by multiple sources including a retired senior North Korean yakuza boss in Japan.
The story goes back, as we have previously written, to the end of World War 2 when remnants of the Japanese imperial army in China set up the nation of North Korea.
After the war, they resumed their contacts with their Nazi allies who had now set up the Odessa underground.
The Nazis, operating through the CIA, allied themselves with remnants of the former Japanese military regime in North Korea to set up a secret ?anti-communist? control grid in Japan after the war.
The Nazis, for their part, were still trying to establish their 1000 year New World Order 4th Reich while their Asian allies were still fighting to set up the Asian co-prosperity sphere: same bed, same enemies, different dreams.
During the Vietnam war the North Koreans sent special forces to Vietnam to fight against the West. When any of these troops were captured most of them committed suicide by using cyanide capsules but some survived, according to a Japanese agent who questioned them. The survivors, under questioning, said they were in Vietnam fighting on behalf of the Greater East Asian Co-prosperity sphere.
It was also during this time the North Koreans began kidnapping Japanese to recruit as agents, according to the North Korean yakuza boss and multiple other sources. Japanese author Mishima Yukio was at this time shown a video of the Ishikawa Prefecture (the closest part of Japan to North Korea) Police cooperating with the North Koreans in the kidnapping of Japanese citizens.
An enraged Mishima showed the video to then Chief Cabinet Secretary Horii Shigeru and Ishihara Shintaro (now governor of Tokyo). Horii took no action and Ishihara said ?I will pretend I did not see that video,? according to the sources. Disgust at this reaction was one of the reasons for Mishima?s public suicide by Hara Kiri at the Japan self-Defense Force headquarters.
After the cold-war ended, a US defector to North Korea by the name of Charles Jenkins contacted US authorities and said he wanted to surrender and be granted immunity in exchange for revealing the North Korean spy network in Japan.
This marked the beginning of the anti-North Korean kidnapping hysteria in Japan that culminated in a trip by then Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to North Korea to repatriate some kidnapping victims. Koizumi brought with him a 1.4 trillion yen bribe as a gift to North Korea at the time to pay for the return of the kidnappees.
The head of the Aozora bank, Tadashi Honma, (here is a link to a censored version of a story I had on Forbes about some of this:
http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2000/1030/6612066a.html
was killed in a murder made to look like a suicide in order to prevent him from objecting to his bank?s funds being used for this purpose. He was forced to write a will at gun point and was then injected with sleeping drugs before being strangled to death, according to a senior member of the gang that carried out the hit.
In any case, the US Nazi authorities, terrified of losing their secret North Korean control grid in Japan, offered the North Koreans a regular supply of high quality forged ?super K? (and similar) US dollar bills as well as an Asian amphetamines monopoly in exchange for a promise they would continue acting as the ?bad guys.? They also provided them with nuclear weapons and missile technology as a part of the package, according to multiple sources.
However, the Kim Jong-un regime is tired of being the Asian boogey man for Nazis and other Western fascist groups. That is why they have begun revealing many of their secrets such as the true story of Yokota Megumi.
Yokota has been reluctant to reveal herself in the past because the fact was she preferred the life of Empress of North Korea to the dull middle class life that would have awaited her in Japan. Now, however, she has gone to meet her parents in Japan and reveal her true situation. This is being widely reported on the internet in Japan but the fascist control grid on the newspapers and TV is still keeping these new revelations under wraps. This information embargo will be broken soon.
The remnants of the Nazi puppet regime in Japan are terrified of the world at large learning about their criminal activities, including the Sarin subway gas poisoning attacks and the March 11, 2011 Nuclear and Tsunami mass murder.
For that reason two of the major North Korean agencies in Japan, the Sokka Gakkai Buddhist Sect and the North Korean Citizens Association of Japan are being actively blackmailed by Nazi puppet police agents.
In specific, they are being threatened with prosecution over a 15 billion yen slush fund of money taken from fraudulent welfare receipts and managed at 5% a year interest on their behalf by Mizuho Bank, according to the yakuza boss and other sources.
In a further sign of hysteria, the Nazis recently took a bunch of dupes and agents from Hong Kong and had them land near a secret US missile base on the disputed Senkakau (Diaoyu) islands to raise a Chinese flag. According to Chinese government sources these agents were all bribed to visit the Islands and were surprised they had been allowed to land there. It is difficult to imagine unarmed Chinese agents arriving on a fishing boat to be allowed to land near a secretive US missile base without US permission. Later of course, Japanese dupes were brought to the Islands as ?retaliation.?
This show aimed at provoking jingoist sentiment in the region is really just a sign of moral bankruptcy by the Nazi regime that seized power in the US.
Another agent, the puppet president Lee Myung-bak of South Korea also cooperated in the latest foolishness by provoking nationalist sentiment over another small batch of disputed rocks lying in between Japan and South Korea.
Of course, all of these maneuvers are being interpreted as nothing more than signs of desperation and moral bankruptcy on the part of the old regime.
The new Chinese government to be headed by Xi Jinping has already begun preparations for big changes in Asia this fall. The recent slowdown in the Chinese economy, for example, is linked to a purge against banks and industrial enterprises that ?got too independent? from the Chinese government during the last regime.
There is also a major anti-corruption campaign being prepared for the arrival of the new regime. One example is the masses of empty greenhouses set up near Beijing for the sole purpose of collecting government subsidies, the Chinese source says.
In any case, the White Dragon Society has proposed to the Asians and their BRICs and non-aligned movement allies that the time has come to make a decisive move. One recommendation has been for these nations to offer to buy up all existing US dollars (except those linked to derivatives and other fraud) and replace them with a new ?world dollar or yuan.? After a certain period, all of the members of the 150-nation anti-imperialist alliance would then refuse to accept old dollars issued by the Federal Reserve Board crime syndicate.
In Japan as well a decisive move against the old regime will be made but we cannot divulge any of the details at this time.
The regime changes due this autumn in the US, China and Japan will provide a wonderful opportunity to deal a decisive blow to the genocidal Nazi cabal.
The people of the world are tired of thugs and criminals provoking wars and mayhem and spreading lies aimed at causing trouble and discord amongst peoples. The time has come to demand that these thugs cease their anti-social behavior and rejoin civilization. We want world peace followed by a massive campaign to end poverty, stop environmental destruction and create an ideal planet. After this, the research money spent on war and mass murder will be dedicated to health, improved life, increases in bio-diversity and peaceful expansion into the universe.

Men?s Skin Care Issues | Shaving | Facial Treatments | Wrinkles

Man?s also need to care about their self?s as women?s do, because it is the importance of growing era that every have to look professional and good.

?

Especially men?s they need extra care for their skin, as most of men?s have hard skin type.

?

Here are few issues which we discuss with you regarding men?s skin problem.

?

  • From a man?s point of view skin problem would most likely be ingrown hairs as a result of shaving. When guys shave, they scratch their face with a very sharp metal object; an electric or manual razor. The razor cuts each whisker, leaving a sharp, and often angled, end. Facial hair is much coarser than the hair on the rest of your body; as a result it has a tendency to curl just a bit.

When you shave, shave in the direction your hair grows. When you shave against the direction of your hair growth, you may get a closer shave, but you will increase the likelihood of developing ingrown hairs.

  • Men are vulnerable to dry skin due to lifestyle, habits and poor diet. Shaving can irritate and dry out a man?s face. Add in factors like drying soaps and low humidity, and you might find yourself with some very dry skin.

Moisturizing facial treatments, moisturizing creams and Serum products help add extra moisture to protect the skin from damage.

  • Men do tend to get wrinkles later in life than women, but wrinkles may begin to appear in some men as young.

Apply a moisturizer with a sunscreen of at least SPF 15 every day to prevent any further damage even if you stay indoors all day.

  • For most men, skin tends to get oily throughout the day in certain areas, even in winter. Excess oil can stick to the skin and block the pores, causing blemishes and acne.

Don?t use soaps they can make the skin on your face worse by over drying it. Use specially designed cleansers for oily skin which are oil free gentle on your skin so it can clear up and helps reduce the outbreak of acne.

Hurricane Isaac storm surge tops levee in Plaquemines Parish

A storm surge from Hurricane Isaac topped a levee in Plaquemines Parish south of New Orleans early Wednesday, officials said, trapping those who chose not to evacuate.

Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser said the 18-mile-long, 8-foot-high levee?which is not part of the nearly $15 billion federal levee system constructed after Hurricane Katrina?was in the process of being raised.

"We knew we had a potential storm surge of 9 to 12 feet?we had an 8-foot levee," Nungesser said on CNN. "We're trying to get the few people who have stayed out. We've got a serious situation over there."

[Live-blog: Hurricane Isaac batters New Orleans, Gulf Coast]

Isaac made landfall at 6:45 p.m. CT Tuesday in Plaquemines Parish, and the slow-moving Category 1 hurricane?now centered about 50 miles southwest of New Orleans with maximum sustained winds topping 80 mph?is expected to dump as much as 20 inches of rain in several parts of Louisiana.

"Not only did we see the worst-case scenario, it got worse than that by this storm just stalling," Nungesser said. "So the levees can only take so much."

Nungesser said there were reports of up to 12 feet of water in some homes. "This is something I've never seen before," he said. "And I rode out Katrina."

[Slideshow: Hurricane Isaac pounds Gulf Coast]

Nungesser said three parish residents, including a woman on a roof, were saved by a private boat. Rescue workers were waiting for conditions to improve?and skies to lighten?before attempting other rescues.

"We're working with the U.S. Coast Guard to rescue people stranded on top of the levee," Nungesser said at a press conference.

The southern end of the parish was under a mandatory evacuation order, though it's not clear how many residents followed it.

"There are homes inundated and some folks trapped by water in those homes," Guy Laigast, director of homeland security for Plaquemines Parish, told the Weather Channel.

[Related: Hurricane Isaac as seen from space]

"Over 150 people have had to be rescued from #Isaac flooding," CNN's Rob Marciano tweeted. "The majority were within mandatory evacuation zones."

According to News Orleans' Times-Picayune, Jesse Schaffer and his son have been rescuing stranded residents with their boat.

"We've rescued at least 23 people including children," Jesse Shaffer Jr. said.

The Army Corps of Engineers said the New Orleans levee protection system appeared to be working. Meanwhile, more than 500,000 customers were left without power in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, utility companies said. According to The Associated Press, most of the outages are in areas around New Orleans.

A tornado warning has also been issued in southern Mississippi.

Sony's tiny ruggedized Action Cam gets official with 16MP Exmor R, WiFi, $199+ price tag (hands-on)

Sony's tiny ruggedized Action Cam gets more official with 16MP Exmor R, WiFi, $199 price tag handson video

Remember that itsy bitsy GoPro competitor we spotted at Sony's CE Week booth earlier this summer? Well, it's gearing up for an official release late next month. Dubbed Action Cam -- a fitting name given that it'll live mounted anywhere from skydiving helmets to downhill skis -- it'll ship in late September or early October for $199. In a surprising twist, the incredibly small HD shooter will also be getting WiFi -- that version will be available for $270. Both cameras are identical save for wireless functionality, but considering that WiFi enables remote configuration and viewfinder capability for framing your shots (there's no video-capable LCD on the device itself), you're gonna want to shell out the extra 70 bucks. Regardless of which flavor you choose, you'll net a very capable camcorder with a 16-megapixel Exmor R sensor (great for low-light shooting) and fixed-zoom Carl Zeiss lens, complete with SteadyShot image stabilization, a 1080/30p capture mode and a 720p option at 120 frames per second, enabling some pretty slick slow-motion effects.

The Action Cam is a modular system, so you can count on a bevy of accessories -- there will even be a "Handycam Adaptor," which comes complete with a 2.7-inch display and a familiar camcorder interface. More standard options include an adhesive mount pack ($20, though two ship with the cam), a bar/bike mount ($30), angle mount ($30), a replacement housing that's waterproof to 60 meters and offers a standard tripod socket ($40 -- you'll get one in the box), two head straps ($25-30) and a suction cup ($30). It also uses removable storage (microSD), a swappable battery, and includes HDMI, USB and audio input jacks.

We weren't able to take the camera out on any wild adventure shoots, though plenty of professionals have, judging from the looks of the demo reel on display at Sony's event (and included at the end of our hands-on video after the break). We did get to play with the remote viewfinder feature, however, paired with the Android PlayMemories app (also available for iOS). This tool worked quite well over WiFi, with decent response and a usable framerate (for framing your shot, at least). The Action Cam itself feels quite solid, despite its size, especially when paired with the thick plastic housing (it's designed for use both underwater and on land). What we're not quite clear on is battery life, which will surely factor into any purchase decision -- that detail will likely come to light as we near launch. You can take a closer look at the camera and accessories in our gallery below, and the hands-on video (complete with remote viewfinder demo) after the break.

First published study to examine risk factors for injury among deployed US soldiers involving popular military vehicles

A new report by researchers from the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy examines the risk factors for injuries to U.S. military personnel from crashes involving highly mobile multipurpose wheeled vehicles (HMMWVs), more commonly known as Humvees. According to the study, involvement in combat and serving as the vehicle's operator or gunner posed the greatest risk for injury. It is the first published analysis of factors associated with Humvee injury risk in a deployed setting, and is in the August issue of the journal Military Medicine.

According to the U.S. Department of Army, motor vehicle crashesboth privately owned and military vehiclesaccount for nearly one-third of all U.S. military fatalities annually and are among the top five causes of hospitalization for personnel.

"Nearly half of all those involved in motor vehicle crashes in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan from 2002-2006 were in Humvees at the time of the crash," said principal investigator Keshia Pollack, PhD, an associate professor with the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. "It's critical that we consider risk factors for these crashes, and use this knowledge to develop injury prevention programs and policies," she said. For example, given the association between being in a combat setting (versus crashes that do not occur during combat situations and injury), training for the military in combat-like situations through simulation or live-training exercises for all drivers could be important. Similarly, as gunners are often in an exposed position on top of the vehicle, equipment or devices that protect them from injury in rollover crashes should be explored.

The authors, who included researchers from the U.S. Army as well as the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy, used data on U.S. Army vehicle crashes from 1999 to 2006 collected by the Army Safety Management Information System. The total documented cases of crashes was narrowed to focus on the sub-population of active duty U.S. Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard soldiers involved in military vehicle crashes in the countries of Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan, occurring during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

"The finding that the odds of being injured when the crash occurred in combat indicates that in a high-stress situation, the soldier may be distracted or less likely to take self-protective measures or follow safety regulations," said study co-author Susan P. Baker, MPH, a professor with the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy. "As motor vehicle crashes are responsible for one-third of all U.S. military deaths annually, it's imperative that significant measures be taken to save lives."

The research was funded by grants from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy, and the Defense Safety Oversight Council through Concurrent Technologies Corporation. Dr. (CPT) Samuel Peik, an army physician who completed his MPH with the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy in 2010, is first author on the paper, "Injuries to Deployed U.S. Army Soldiers Involved in HMMWV Crashes, 2002-2006." Additional authors are Michelle Canham-Chervak, PhD, MPH, and Keith Hauret, MSPH, MPT.
