The HTC One Max may be aiming for the same market as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, observes The Verge, after having gotten information on the specifications of the HTC device.
HTC One Max vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 3
According to Mobile Geeks, which claims to have insider sources, the HTC One Max would feature a 6-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 running at a clocks speed of 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, a choice between 32 or 64GB of storage space, and a 3,200 mAh battery.
This is comparable to the rumored specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which include a 5.7- or 5.9-inch inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa octa-core chip, and 3GB of RAM. Some rumors also suggest that there could be four models of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on the way, toting premium or more budget-friendly features.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra
Meanwhile, another phablet that is competing against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Such device also supports stylus input, a feature for which the Note has long been known. Revealed last month in China, the Xperia Z Ultra comes with a 6.4-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip, 2 GB of RAM, and a 3,000 mAh battery unit.
Release
The Verge surmises that because of the popularity of the stylus support feature, HTC may also release the One Max with a stylus.
According to Mobile Geeks, the HTC One Max is scheduled to be unveiled in September. Meanwhile, Samsung may take the wraps off its phablet on September 4th, just a couple of days before the IFA conference in Berlin, Germany. The proximity of these dates will allow consumers to assess which phablet better caters to their needs.
HTC One Mini
Mobile Geeks also corroborated rumors that that HTC One Mini will arrive with a 4.3-inch screen with a 720p resolution, dual-core 1.4GHz processor, and 16GB of storage space. This device may be released within the next couple of weeks.
Which would be your pick among these upcoming devices?
