2:15 PM: New Penn State Board of Trustees member Anthony Lubrano - whose campaign video said the Jerry Sandusky scandal was "not a Joe Paterno scandal" - said of the NCAA's penalties: "My view is that we rolled over and played dead. They (Board members) want to put Paterno behind them."

12:45 PM: Former college football coach & current Big Ten Network analyst Glen Mason on the Penn State penalties: "From a competitive standpoint, it might be been better for them to get the death penalty."
12:30 PM: Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany said that despite all the other penalties, Penn State will not receive a TV ban.

12:00 PM: WHTM notes that with Penn State's victories from 1998 to 2011 vacated, the last Nittany Lions QB to win a game for Joe Paterno was Mike McQueary in a 35-10 defeat of Wisconsin on Nov. 22, 1997.
11:45 AM: Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby on the penalties given to Penn State: "Acting quickly and the NCAA are seldom mentioned in the same sentence. A little surprised about that."
11:30 AM: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Detroit Lions have cut cornerback Aaron Berry following his second arrest in a month.
11:15 AM: The Big Ten announces that for the next four years Penn State will be ineligible for the title game & not receive any bowl revenue from the conference.
11:00 AM: Former NHL player Dan Quinn won his fourth American Century golf title Sunday, beating out former NFL QB Mark Rypien & Denver Broncos VP John Elway. Quinn will caddy for 2012 British Open champ Ernie Els at next week's Canadian Open.
